Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Events Coming to PlayStation Network Starting Today

Mass Effect 3 on the PlayStation 3 has been missing out on all of the multiplayer events that BioWare has been putting out since the game’s release, but that’s finally about to change.

Earlier on in the month, Sony said that it was working with BioWare to bring Mass Effect 3 multiplayer events to the PlayStation 3–and now that’s happening. Starting today at 6:00 p.m. PST, gamers can take part in the “Operation Exorcist” event on all three platforms.

For this Mass Effect 3 multiplayer event, BioWare is tasking gamers with destroying a total of one million Cerberus Phantoms over the weekend, starting today at 6 p.m. PST and lasting until Monday April 30th at 5:00 A.M. PST. If that goal is met, all players will receive a “Victory Pack” after the event has ended.

Additionally, the ‘Operation Exorcist’ Mass Effect 3 multiplayer event will reward players for surviving through extraction on any map, and against any enemy–provided you do it on the “Gold” difficulty, that is. If you and your team are successful, all of you will receive a Commendation Pack.

Before you take part in the event, BioWare notes that you should make sure the “Upload Gameplay Feedback” setting is set to “On” in the game’s option menu, otherwise your contributions over the weekend won’t be counted.

Are you still playing Mass Effect 3‘s multiplayer mode? Do you enjoy these multiplayer events?
