Man Drowns In Pool Owned By Actress Demi Moore

A man has drowned in a pool owned by actress Demi Moore.

The coroner’s office confirmed that a 21-year-old male drowned in a pool at Demi’s Los Angeles home, according to the Associated Press.

The man, who has not been identified, was found dead at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, Lt. Fred Corral, of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles, said.

According to Sgt. A. Bone, of the West Los Angeles station, said Demi was not home at the time of the death and was in no way involved. However, there were five individuals present when the man drowned. While the unidentified man was not a family member or friend of Demi’s, he was a friend of someone who had access to the pool.

The police arrived at Moore’s Benedict Canyon house after one of the other swimmers dialed 911 when they noticed the man was drowning. When the police arrived, there was a small crowd surrounding his body. Lt. Fred Corral said that the coroner’s office was dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:55 a.m., NBC Los Angeles reports.

Although Moore’s children are known for having pool parties, it is not known if that is what was happening at the time of the drowning. Several sources noted that neither Demi nor her children were home at the time, so the kid’s pool party theory seems unlikely.

Gossip site TMZ was the first to report the man’s death, noting that he didn’t know how to swim and apparently slipped into the pool. According to the website, while the police are investigating the death, they currently do not suspect any foul play was involved.

TMZ said the caretaker of Demi’s property was the one who actually threw the party and invited the 21-year-old. There was “a limited amount” of alcohol, but it is not known if the man was drunk when he fell into the pool.

No further details have been immediately available. More information will be shared as it is released.
