Viral Video: Drunk Man Knocked Out During Road Rage Incident, Racism And Gun Instigated Attack

An incident of road rage has quickly become a viral video after a man was knocked out in one punch during the event.

The incident took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and ended with one man behind bars, according to KRQE News. The road rage occurred on Wednesday at approximately 7:30 p.m., after a father followed a man that was driving drunk. The drunk man was involved in a road rage incident, and the father hoped to stop further incidents from occurring.

A neighbor witnessed the events unfold and decided to record the happenings, and posted the results on YouTube’s ABQ RAW page, where it quickly had over 60,000 views.

Break also posted the video on their site, claiming racism was involved, where many commenters felt the drunk man deserved what came to him, but felt that racism was not a factor in the incident. Still, others felt as though the man in the truck should have continued onward instead of engaging the family. Some claim he should have called the police instead.

Ryan Allen was identified as the man that took the punch. The man that punched him has remained nameless. Ryan’s father, Greg, stated that his son was being chased by a man and that he was frightened. Therefore, he went outside to see what was going on. That is when the man in the truck pulled up.

“He said somebody was chasing him, so I walked out and the guy was chasing him.”

The man in the truck shared that he followed Ryan Allen home because Allen was driving drunk and flashed a gun at him, which instigated the road rage. The man in the truck also stated that he was on the phone with the police when Allen approached him in front of the house. He warned Allen to back off before knocking him out. The viral video confirms the man is telling the truth.

Allen admitted to police that he was driving drunk, leading to his arrest for aggravated DWI. However, Allen did not admit to flashing the gun at the man in the truck.

The truck driver was not charged for knocking Allen out.

The man that was driving the truck stated that he was frightened for his safety and is worried the Allens might attempt to retaliate against him for his actions, because they know where he lives.
