WWE News: WWE Diva Lana To Wrestle At ‘WWE SummerSlam’ In Mixed Tag Match With Dolph Ziggler

WWE Diva Lana has been a great part of WWE programming for many fans. Her looks alone are enough, but she is also quite entertaining with her gimmick. Fans old, young, male, and female all love her. Like with anyone the fans love, they want to see more. While Lana was always seen as just a manager and never anything more, like Miss Elizabeth, today that sort of thing does not fly. Managers always get involved in the action. Heck, even Paul Heyman has done it.

There was a theory a long time ago that we would never see Lana wrestle because of an injury she sustained while training to be a wrestler years ago. However, it does not appear that there is any residual damage from it. Due to this, there have been rumors that Lana has been in training for a while. Which would mean that she is clearly open for an in-ring debut.

As the Inquisitr reported a while back, it looked to be that WWE was setting up for Lana to debut at WWE SummerSlam. That looks to be on track now even more so. According to Daily Wrestling News, Lana is scheduled to perform with Dolph Ziggler in a tag team match against Summer Rae and Rusev on a WWE Live Event September 4 in Hampton, Virginia.

WWE SummerSlam takes place on August 23, which means that Lana would most likely make her debut in the ring there. It also could mean that she is scheduled to work other live events and could do some singles material after a while. For now, being in tag matches works out well. She is inexperienced, so she does not have to work entire matches yet. She can simply show up for spots on either offense or in sell, and she can come off better. By not exploiting her weaknesses, she won’t be hated right off like Eva Marie has been.

Fans want to see her wrestle, so Lana won’t get hate for mistakes early on like many other Divas. This is mainly because fans love her and understand the transition period can be tough, but without the love of the fans, she wouldn’t get much love at all. She has over a month to get ready to make her debut. Ziggler is set to return within the next few weeks from his “injury” at the hands of Rusev.

Once he comes back, the match should be set. This would make WWE SummerSlam a very packed show, as matches with Sting, Undertaker, and others are already being set up. Lana being part of it can only be a good thing.
