Dina Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga, And Kathy Wakile Watch Caroline Manzo’s Daughter, Lauren Manzo, Get Married [Photos]
Early on Saturday, Caroline Manzo watched her daughter, Lauren Manzo, get married. According to Us Weekly, Lauren and Vito Scalia got married at St. Cyril’s Church in NYC and then headed off to the Manzo’s The Brownstone restaurant in Paterson, N.J. for the reception.
Many of Caroline’s former The Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars were in attendance, including Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile. Caroline’s sister, Dina Manzo, and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Laurita, also attended.
One guest posted a photo from the ceremony that shows Lauren’s two brothers, Albie and Chris Manzo, walking mom Caroline down the aisle. Caroline opted for a white, strapless, form-fitting gown. She wore her hair in a messy updo and accessorized with long earrings.
The bride opted for a strapless ball gown. She wore her hair up, with a few curled tendrils left out to frame her face.
Dina Manzo flew back to the East Coast from California for the wedding. While she has yet to post a photo of herself from the day, she did post a photo of Vito and Lauren at the altar. She called the ceremony beautiful. After years of not talking to one another, the exact cause of which has still not been publicly revealed, Dina and Caroline reconciled late last year.
Dina’s daughter and Lauren’s cousin, Lexi Ioanou, was a bridesmaid at the wedding. Lauren had her bridesmaids wear very light pink.
Aunt Jacqueline Laurita wore a gold and black dress. Jacqueline called the bride, groom, and wedding all beautiful. She later changed into a black dress for the reception to be more comfortable.
Kathy Wakile wore a low-cut, peach ensemble.
Melissa Gorga, who wore a blue, strapless cocktail dress, described the wedding as “beyond beautiful.”
Lauren spoke to Us Weekly on her big day.
“[Today] is exactly what I always wanted.”
Vito added that fun was the order of the day.
“I just want people to have fun, that’s all I want. If I leave my wedding where I had a blast but no one else had fun I’d end up being sad!”
Caroline gushed to Us Weekly about her new son-in-law.
“I’m excited to see my daughter just start her life. I want her to just embrace this moment and I want to see her really, really shine. And that’s, for me, that’s worth more than anything on the planet, to see your kids truly, truly happy…Vito is a great guy and the Scalias are wonderful people.”
Fans will likely get to watch Lauren Manzo’s wedding on Caroline Manzo’s spin-off Manzo’d With Children. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a camera crew filmed Lauren’s bridal shower in May. Caroline’s former The Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga, and Kathy Wakile also attended that event. Season 2 of the spin-off premieres on Sunday, Aug. 16, on Bravo.
