‘Young And Restless’ Drama: Discoveries, Decisions, And Disputes Rock Genoa City [Spoilers]

Viewers have had quite the week of episodes with The Young and the Restless as Chelsea learned the truth about Adam, and he nearly exposed the truth to everybody. In addition, there’s been some resolution with Avery’s case, and fans will see more on that end in Friday’s episode. What Young and Restless spoilers are available for the July 17 episode?

She Knows Soaps details that Abby will continue to push forward in her quest to make her new position work, but there clearly are some issues rising up in her romantic relationship with Ben. In addition, Young and Restless spoilers indicate that Devon and Lily will decide on a wedding date, and Lily will learn that Cane punched Joe. Though there had been a tiny thaw in Lily and Cane’s relationship in recent episodes, it seems they’ll butt heads in this one.

After the brief encounter with Marisa in the park, Sage will rush to track down Adam and question him about what’s happening. He’ll work to settle her down and tells her he’s got things handled.

Ashley, Phyllis, and Nikki will continue their talk about the shooting, and Nikki suggests that Gabe may have hidden the gun at the penthouse. While the other women aren’t so sure, Ashley says she’ll try to find out.

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Avery will talk with a reporter and open up about how she handled the aftermath of her rape. She’ll indicate that she pushed things too far, and she’s going to take a step back from her work. Teasers from We Love Soaps indicate that she’ll make a big decision in this episode, and it seems she’ll determine that she needs to leave town.

Avery and Joe will have a discussion, and she admits that she’s not sure what comes next for her. She says she knows she needs to leave Genoa City, though, and she thinks he should leave as well.

Previous Young and Restless spoilers have confirmed that Avery will be leaving, and it seems her last air date will be Tuesday, July 21. Is there more drama to come with this storyline, or does Avery simply leave town quietly and for good?

Also ahead in Friday’s episode, Ashley manages to snoop through Chelsea’s penthouse and finds a gun. She’ll call the police, and Paul shows up with a warrant. Though Chelsea and Adam insist there is no gun there, an officer finds one.

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the officer just happens to be the guy who is secretly working with Victor. The gun will be tested, and Paul warns “Gabe” that there will be a lot of questions ahead if the gun is linked to Jack’s shooting.

Chelsea will naturally have a lot of questions for Adam over the gun, and he insists he’s being set up. Phyllis will tell Jack that a gun was found at Chelsea’s, and she continues to wonder what he meant when he wrote down “2.” Y&R spoilers indicate that Phyllis will manage to get Jack to squeeze her hand to give answers again, and he’s able to let her know that he didn’t mean two guns.

Michael will come upon Lily and Cane arguing, and he’ll try to settle things down between the two. Cane is still struggling, and Young and Restless spoilers indicate that he’ll hurl some harsh accusations at his wife. She’ll slap him, and things get quite ugly.

Young and Restless spoilers tease that Abby will celebrate a deal with a client with some champagne, and she indulges a bit too much. It seems she’ll take a male executive up on an offer for a ride, and this may lead to some serious problems.

Despite Chelsea learning of Adam’s real identity, there’s a lot of drama yet to play out on this front. Fans will want to be sure to tune into the upcoming episodes as Avery departs, Jack and Phyllis continue to push toward his recovery, and Marisa stirs things up.
