Vicki Gunvalson Claims ‘RHOC’ Has Changed: ‘Her’ Show Didn’t Thrive On Drama

Vicki Gunvalson has been on The Real Housewives of Orange County for 10 seasons, and she has been through everything, including divorces, fights, and broken friendships. Much of it has been documented by Bravo. In other words, Gunvalson is, indeed, the housewife to ask if you want an honest opinion of the show and her personal experiences.

But, the show was very different when Vicki Gunvalson joined 10 seasons ago. In fact, the show merely documented what was happening in their lives, including working, falling in love, going on dates, and having pool parties. These days, the smallest things are blown out of proportion, and the ladies fight over irrelevant things and comments.

According to a new tweet, Vicki Gunvalson is now revealing that the show never used to be about drama, but used to focus on real-life issues that would come up. These days, it seems like many of the wives on the show create drama for ratings, but then claim that it is truly real life.

“I hope the network takes notice-girls arent fighting w/each other, same as MDLNY-they R showing REAL LIFE happenings.Thats what fans want 2c,” one follower wrote to Vicki Gunvalson after the ratings for the week were revealed, which had Gunvalson reply, “I agree! Real life issues is what my show was started on — not made up drama.”

Even though some of the housewives do thrive on drama, Vicki Gunvalson has shared some real life struggles. For one, she was very open and candid about her divorce from Don. Vicki tried to fight him for spousal support, but she had to fork over a lot of money in the divorce. In addition, this season, Gunvalson lost her mother, and it was an emotional moment to watch.

Lastly, Vicki Gunvalson is also dealing with a cancer diagnosis, as her partner was diagnosed last year. Brooks Ayers has been fighting the disease for months now, and he is trying everything from healthy eating to coffee enemas. But, according to the Inquisitr, the situation is immediately made worse when Meghan King Edmonds gets involved. Apparently, she thinks that Brooks is faking his cancer diagnosis.

It sounds like Gunvalson doesn’t thrive on drama, and she may prefer to film The Real Housewives of Orange County without all of the drama. It would be interesting to see how much different the show would be if the new housewives were removed.

What do you think of Vicki Gunvalson’s perception that the show has changed?
