If you’ve heard a chorus of crying teenagers, know that it stems from the rumor that One Direction member Louis Tomlinson is about to be a father. While Louis hasn’t officially announced the news, many outlets have run with the story. Meanwhile, fans are still trying to hold out hope that this is a rumor.

Their hope might have dwindled a bit as One Direction mentor Simon Cowell is aware of the news of Louis Tomlinson’s impending fatherhood. According to a source, the music mogul, who put One Direction together, is simply delighted to hear the news.

According to People magazine, Louis, who still wanted to keep the news hush hush, called Simon about three weeks ago with the news that stylist Briana Jungwirth was expecting their first child.

According to a source, the fact that Simon Cowell knows about this is a big thing. “Simon was one of the first people Louis called after he’d told his family. Louis was so excited and he wanted to tell Simon himself.”

The source continued to speak of the exchange between Simon Cowell and the One Direction member. “Simon was absolutely delighted for Louis and told him that becoming a dad was the best thing that had ever happened to him. He told him if he ever needed any advice to let him know.”

As many know, Simon welcomed son Eric with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman back in 2014. Simon Cowell had this to say about fatherhood. “I had no idea what it was going to feel like to be a dad, and I was always nervous about babies. I didn’t know what to do with them. But actually, when you see someone day by day becoming, you know, more smart and doing different things and recognizing you and now talking, I mean… it’s an incredible feeling.”

In addition to being delighted for Louis, the source said, “Simon knows Louis already has lots of experience with babies and adores kids.”

Regardless, it’s probably going to be some time before the One Direction member speaks out about the change in his life. As it is, the fandom of One Direction is having a nervous breakdown about this rumor.
