Petition To ‘Kick Out Cultural Appropriator’ Ariana Grande From U.S. Gets 124 Signatures

Ariana Grande is still facing a backlash from Doughnutgate. The good news is that it appears she won’t be charged with a crime, according toTMZ.

“Ariana Grande won’t have ‘donut-licker’ on her criminal record… because TMZ has learned she will not be charged with criminal mischief.

A rep for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department told TMZ that the owner of Wolfee Donuts does not want to press charges.

The bad news is that the backlash against Ariana Grande is still severe. In fact, a petition that aims to kick Ariana Grande out of the United States is still gaining signatures. The petition’s accusations of Grande are pretty harsh and some think they are way over-the-top.

“Ariana Grande is a serial cultural appropriator who appropriates gays (her brother) blacks (Big Sean) and now Latinos (her dancer boy-toy). She then has the guts to say how much she hates this country. She is as fake as one can be and has no right to live here in the United States.”

The people signing the petition still have a lot of anger towards Grande.

“She hates America and is racist towards people of opposite race and culture,” says Robyn Wolf of Hollywood, Fl.

“Ariana Grande thinks that by telling us she has a gay brother and that she is dating a Latino, she has a right to be a brat. Her behavior has been absolutely awful,” writes Allison Wocheck of Los Angeles, CA.”

People on Twitter seem to want Ariana Grande deported as well.

“@Honeeymooon @ArianaGrande BS. America hater? join ISIS. @deport Ariana Grande,” says KnightVision.

“Can’t we go ahead and deport @ArianaGrande ‘hating America’ can be considered ‘terrorism’ correct? Spoiled, ungrateful diva. #youlose,” says Kelli Cote.

However, some people have come to Ariana Grande’s defense. Jason Lipshutz of Billboard says people are making way too much of a deal over all of this.

“Ariana Grande is 22 years old. That’s too old to be giggling through donut-licking dares with a crush, but 22-year-olds also do dumb things. I was a senior in college when I was 22, and I did stuff that was a lot more boneheaded than putting my tongue on someone else’s pastries. I’m sure a lot of you have, too.”

There is no reason to think that Ariana Grande won’t come through this scandal. Other pop stars have done a lot worse than Grande. However, Ms. Grande and other pop stars may want to realize that the publicity game is different these days now that there are cameras recording every single thing we do.
