New York City Housewife Bethenny Frankel Receives Pay Cut Ahead Of ‘RHONY’ Season 8?

Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel will reportedly be cut from her alleged $500,000 salary ahead of filming on Season 8. According to a July 15 report by AllAboutTRH, Frankel will return to the New York City-based series later this year, but since she no longer draws viewers in the way she once did, Bravo has reportedly sliced her paycheck in half.

“Bethenny is back after begging to keep her job. She is desperate to be on TV and only reality shows want her,” a source told Naughty Gossip on July 14.

“She is taking a huge pay cut from her $500,000. She will now be getting only $250,000. She is good reality TV but no longer brings in viewers.”

Frankel was one of the original members of the New York City cast, along with Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Jennifer Gilbert, and LuAnn De Lesseps, but left the series ahead of Season 3 to star in her own series, which was also based in New York City. The series, titled Bethenny Getting Married, was eventually renamed Bethenny Ever After and ran for three seasons on Bravo.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, rumors regarding the Season 8 cast of The Real Housewives of New York City continue to swirl as the seventh season nears its end. Earlier this week, a source confirmed Frankel’s return to Radar Online, and alleged Kristen Taekman and Dorinda Medley had been fired.

“Bethenny has already been asked to come back, and she accepted. It was in her contract that if Bravo made the offer, that she would accept. The fact is, Bethenny loves being on television. Producers are hoping next season Bethenny will let her guard down even more and fight with the other ladies.”

Contradictory to Naughty Gossip‘s report, the Radar Online source claimed Frankel was currently receiving $1 million per season for her New York City gig, and would be bumped up in her paycheck for Season 8.

“Bethenny will probably want close to $2 million, while Bravo would offer no more than $1.5 million. [Real Housewives of New York City] just isn’t as popular as the Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Bethenny just doesn’t have the clout she once did.”

Bravo has yet to comment on the salaries of their reality stars.
