Left-Eye Hologram Could Be Next For TLC After Tupac Hologram’s Success

It’s been ten years to the day since Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was killed at the age of 30 in a car accident in Honduras.

The petite singer was known as the most fiery out of the already-relatively fiery group of three hip-hop girl singers, and the band’s hits- including “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls” and “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg”- were considered forward and a bit ballsy for their day. And Left-Eye was the most ostentatious of the three, often sporting a condom over her left eye in videos and at concerts.

Lopes had a combustible personal life as well, and in later years, her legal issues stemming from an incident during which she burned down boyfriend Andre Bison’s mansion after a fight dogged the tiny entertainer for the remainder of her career. But Lopes was also known to be charitable, and eerily, in the last days of her life, she was involved in another road accident during which a small boy in Honduras was killed.

After the boy’s death, Left Eye remarked that she’d felt a “spirit” following her, and feared that the boy, bearing the same name, had been taken in error instead of her. She died a short time later in the rollover accident.

According to TMZ, however, bandmates T-Boz and Chilli may resurrect Left Eye in a similar manner to Tupac, generating a hologram or a projected image of the deceased star to perform in a planned reunion tour:

“So far, we’re told 5 major cities have already been booked — and even more are in the works… But the big surprise … we’re told the group plans to pull a Tupac — incorporating their deceased former member Left Eye in the shows, projecting her image on a big screen and working her vocals into the live performances.”

The potential Left Eye hologram could hit the road later this year with the surviving members of TLC.
