The Vamps Invites Zayn Malik To Join Band And Understands His Decision To Leave One Direction

The Vamps talks Zayn Malik in an exclusive interview with Mirror Online and reveals that they are actually open to having Zayn Malik as their fifth member.

March 25, 2015, Zayn Malik broke millions of hearts as he announced that he is no longer a member of the famous boy band, One Direction. The whole world lamented his decision but it seems Zayn is actually pretty happy about his decision, making it known that he is ready to lay low for a while and settle down with his fiancé, Perrie Edwards.

But while the whole world, especially huge One Direction fans, chose not to understand Zayn Malik’s decision to quit One Direction just years after it’s been born, another band openly talks about relating to Zayn Malik’s decision.

The Vamps talk to Fabulous magazine and puts in their penny about Zayn Malik’s disposition that could’ve urged him to leave One Direction. Brad Simpson says not only Zayn Malik, but all the members of One Direction, have been put harshly under public scrutiny that The Vamps understand what it would feel like to be suffocated like that.

“All of them [One Direction] are under the microscope – everything they do is scrutinised. We’ve experienced that on a tiny scale compared to them, and I can see that it might get too much and why Zayn got a bit sick of it all. He’s made enough money to be cushy for a while!”

Another The Vamps member chips in his opinion about Zayn’s decision.

“I think it’s a good decision for Zayn. If you want to be in that sort of band then you’ve got to be ready for it. Obviously Zayn decided it wasn’t for him anymore.”

Zayn was at that point where he could afford laying low for a while after getting tired of all the fame and glory, so it’s not actually an illogical move for Zayn to do what he did. The Richest reports that Zayn Malik’s estimated net worth is $20 million, a proof that Zayn won’t be too hard off unemployed, considering he left One Direction at the prime of its fame.

In an exclusive interview with Mirror Online, The Vamps add that they could actually consider Zayn Malik joining their band if he meets certain requirements of The Vamps. Straight from Brad’s mouth, Zayn Malik could join them if he wants. But James McVey, guitarist of The Vamps, says that Zayn won’t be at the forefront per se, if he decides to join The Vamps.

“He’d have to do backing vocals or something like that because we already have a lead singer. I mean, does he play an instrument? If so then maybe we have a vacancy for him but if not then there’s not really any room.”

The Vamps bass guitarist Connor Ball also adds that Zayn looks like he could do some rhymes and they would also be happy to have him as the rapper of The Vamps. Although drummer Tristan Evans admit that he feels One Direction won’t be too pleased if Zayn Malik ends up joining The Vamps after he left the group.
