50 Cent May Be Bankrupt, But He’s Still Making Music [Videos]

50 Cent recently claimed bankruptcy, but the rapper is still making music. He’s joining Jonn Hart on his new single “New Chick.” 50 Cent isn’t trying to get rich; he’s going to die trying.

50 Cent is still making music despite his financial struggles. The rapper needs to make up some coins after he reportedly spent $5 million for a sex tape lawsuit he got himself into. Jonn Hart is getting some help from Fiddy on his new song. It may become one of the hottest singles of the late summer season, according to HotNewHipHop.

Check out “New Chick” with Jonn Hart and featuring 50 Cent below. The singer’s upcoming project, Hart 2 Heart 3, is slated for release on August 31. It’s unclear whether Hart will collaborate on more songs with 50 Cent on his album.

That’s not all that the rapper has planned. Coca-Cola-owned energy drink company Relentless is teaming up with 50 Cent and several other musicians to market their drinks on MTV. The miniseries, Relentless Ultra presents Soundchain, is making a comeback. The performers will be featured in six half-hour episodes that will include exclusive interviews and special performances.

The new series will follow last year’s formula, although DJ Nick Grimshaw has replaced Zane Lowe due to his unexpected leave from Apple earlier this year. The show didn’t want to focus on choosing headlining acts like 50 Cent and Florence and the Machine. They also wanted to have groundbreaking interviews, according to John Paveley, creative director of JJ Stereo.

“If you look at series one it was a really brilliant line-up but all of them were relevant to the audience. Relentless have been very sympathetic to the fact that we’re aiming high and that we may not get everyone that we want. We’ve been very aware that there are other [Relentless] campaigns happening throughout the year. We have to feed in their brand values and a lot of their graphics and products.”

The second episode of the series will show Nick interviewing 50 on how he got started in the rap game, including how he was able to build his fortune and fame. The episode will also show his journey from dealing with drugs and crime to being discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre and going on to become one of the biggest rappers in the industry. 50 Cent will also talk about his musical inspirations, as quoted below.

“I think passion is everything. I think if your passion is enough, about what you’re doing, if you can do it enough, to become good enough.”

50 Cent will have to build himself back up again by marketing his brand and making new music. The Wall Street Journal reported that Fiddy filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday, July 13. 50’s debts list as high as $50 million. He claims that his debts are consumer-related and not business-related. It’s probably the reason why he still has the money to make music and to market himself.

Just two months ago, Forbes listed 50 Cent as one of the richest rappers in the world. His net worth is reported to be as high as $155 million. Fiddy’s earnings come from his music, his SK Energy sponsorship, his Frigo underwear line, and his SMS headphones. He also loves to show off his wealth on both Instagram and Twitter. This recent bankruptcy filing comes after 50 was ordered to pay $5 million to a woman who claimed he stole a video she made with her boyfriend and posted it online without her consent.

50 Cent’s claim to fame was his 2003 Get Rich or Die Tryin’ album with the lead single, “In Da Club.” 50 and the other musicians will star on Relentless Ultra presents Soundchain this Friday at 11 p.m. on MTV Music.
