Pilar Sanders Released From Prison, Denies Attacking Deion

Pilar Sanders, the estranged wife of former NFL-great Deion Sanders, denies that she broke into his room in their Dallas-area home and attacked him in front of their children.

On Monday, Pilar, a model who appeared on a 2008 Oxygen network reality series about her and her famous husband’s home life, Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love, was arrested and jailed on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge after allegedly assaulting Deion in his bedroom.

While authorities haven’t released details about the alleged attack, Deion Sanders gave a first hand testimony via Twitter shortly after it occurred, writing that his children “just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room.”

After an overnight stay at Colin County Jail in Texas, a magistrate judge issued an emergency protective order against Pilar, banning her from entering the ex-couple’s home for 60 days and barring her from threatening or harassing her husband.

On her way out of jail Tuesday, Pilar told reporters:

“I am innocent. I understand that I have a very little chance at beating a Hall of Fame, two-sport man that everyone seems to love and adore. I am a full-time mom 100 percent for my children and I have just not gotten a fair shake.”

ABC News added Tuesday that Larry Friedman, Pilar Sanders’ divorce attorney, couldn’t comment on his client’s arrest because there is a gag order in the former couple’s ongoing divorce case.

“I can tell you that there are two sides to every story and the truth will come out in court,” he said in a statement.
