Ed Sheeran fans flew into a spin when reports surfaced claiming that there was a new mystery blonde in his life.

The search for Ed Sheeran’s new girlfriend only intensified when photos of him standing cosily with a blonde bombshell surfaced on the internet. The unanswered question regarding the identity of the mystery girl was addressed by Mirror reports that her name is Louise Johnston.

Louise is a model and a TV presenter who now “dabbles in event management,” according to her twitter blog. According to the Mirror, the “Lego House” singer and the Irish beauty have supposedly been friends for a long time but have steadily been growing closer. They have kept in touch even while Ed Sheeran is on tour, and are hopeful of a chance to catch up when he performs later at Dublin. The source also confirmed that “she really cares for him and that their friends and family are in the know.”

If these rumors are true, Ed Sheeran has hit the jackpot with Louise, who proves that beauty and brains can co-exist. Her current title is Brand Manager for Lovin Dublin, Lovin Trends and Lovin Berlin, where Lovin Dublin is a website for food and beverage reviews. Johnston helps in coordinating events and brand development, proving that she is successful in her own right and won’t be looking to profit from Ed Sheeran’s success.

Everything about her sounds like the girlfriend that Ed Sheeran dreams of, but the singer was quick to deny any rumours that they were a couple. When he was quizzed by co-hosts Lisa Snowdon and Dave Berry on the Capital London’s Breakfast Show, the ginger haired star denied being in a relationship with the Irish beauty. As the Daily Mail reported, he was quizzed about the status of his love life, and he continued to deny the rumors that he is in a relationship.

“It’s actually non-existent at the moment. I’m not in anything.”

Ed Sheeran claims that he is still very much a single (and eligible) guy, and that he he has not been in a relationship since he ended his last serious relationship with ex-girlfriend Athina Andrelos in March. Ed Sheeran and Athina dated for a year before they decided to call it quits, reportedly over Ed’s behaviour at the BRIT Awards after party. He broke the news on the Australian radio show hosted by Kyle and Jackie O. According to The Daily Star, Ed Sheeran has stated that shortly after the end of his relationship, he was touring in the Middle East, South America and New Zealand and never really had time to process the split.

“I was just working, working… I’m still kind of in that space. I’m still in my working space. I haven’t had time to sit back and re-evaluate my personal life, because I don’t really have a personal life.”
