#BBWLA Twitter Hashtag Trends As ‘Basketball Wives LA’ Premieres

The new season 4 of Basketball Wives LA premiered and as such, the #BBWLA Twitter hashtag became a trending item on Sunday, July 12.

The Basketball Wives LA premiere already teased viewers with episode video snippets like those named “Malaysia is Back,” which was posted to the VH1 website on June 10. It quickly gained 7,000 views — with its drama for the unfolding season of the hot reality show.

This particular new season of Basketball Wives LA brought with it new #BBWLA members, and Twitter fiends had a field day already expressing their views of the women. They are also catching up with women who have returned from previous seasons of the show, like Malaysia Pargo, who has recently undergone a public breakup with her estranged husband — and revealed other sad events in her life, like the death of her brother.

Of course, old stalwarts like Jackie Christie always seem to be the talk of the Twitter tweets about #BBWLA.

Women from other reality TV shows, like the Bad Girls Club, also seem to pop up on Basketball Wives as sort of a cross promotion vehicle.

One of those new #BBWLA women is named Patrice Curry, reports VH1. She’s not married to Steph Curry but Eddy Curry is her husband.

Inevitably, viewers always seem to want to know how the latest and newest #BBWLA participants have made it onto the reality TV show, because critics never seem to find them popular enough to be there.

Either way, turning to Twitter and checking out the #BBWLA hashtag can be an endless source of entertainment. Plus, it can catch up viewers who haven’t even seen the show yet on the happenings of their favorite reality program.
