Ben Higgins Has A Suitor On ‘The Bachelorette,’ But It’s Not Kaitlyn Bristowe

Kaitlyn Bristowe is down to three suitors, but lately the Bachelorette has not been the main source of drama. Two of her remaining men, Shawn Booth and Nick Viall, nearly came to blows last week. Chris Harrison called it a true “love triangle,” as both Booth and Viall have affection for Kaitlyn and hatred for one another. But there’s still one more man, Ben Higgins, in the mix.

And judging by his social media feed, Ben has at least one fan on the show: his fellow contestant Booth. Both men shared a picture of Booth seated on Higgins’ lap. On Instagram, Higgins captioned: “Spoiler alert: bromances heat up,” while Booth was more direct in his teasing. He made fun of Higgins and, apparently, himself.

Kaitlyn Bristowe had told the Bachelorette cameras that Booth’s insecurities were difficult for her to handle. Those insecurities seemed to arise after she told him during “off-camera” time that he was “the one.”

“It worries me that Shawn needs this much reassurances and there are some things he doesn’t know.”

Bristowe, at that time, had not told Booth that she had slept with Viall shortly after he entered the season.

Although it may be a stretch to officially call Booth a “suitor” of Higgins, he is obviously happy to share their close friendship with the world. Neither men shared any social media snaps of Viall, although Nick did the honors by showing off a few “beefcake” snaps of himself.

Rumor has it that Ben Higgins does not make the final two. Bristowe told People on a video uploaded June 30, 2015, that Higgins was her choice for the next Bachelor, calling him a “well-rounded, solid guy.” By voicing that preference, Bristowe all but admitted that she doesn’t give Higgins the final rose.

In her July 7 blog for People, Bristowe described her one-on-one date with Ben as “calming,” and credited him for turning her sour mood into a pleasant one.

“He is a positive, humble and calm man. He was so comforting and was quick to reassure me it was okay that I wasn’t on my A-game.”

She said that date was a test of their relationship, considering she was not feeling happy and could not fake it.

Whether that’s enough to get Ben Higgins to the final two should be revealed Monday night.

The Bachelorette airs on ABC.
