Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate Talks About How To Avoid Becoming A Shark’s Dinner [Viral Video]

Following the recent spate of shark attacks off the coast of North Carolina, a woman, Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate, has offered amusing, yet logically unassailable advice to beachgoers on how to avoid being “ate up” by a shark.

Poleate’s common sense advice, delivered on her way to church, is simple and can be summarized, “Go to the beach, and don’t go to the ocean, okay? Because the ocean is the shark’s house.”

The video, titled “Summer Safety Tips!” posted to Facebook on Sunday, June 28, has gone viral, having been viewed more than 11 million times.

In the two-minute video, Poleate, a Hamilton County Department of Education guidance counselor who has posted several videos to YouTube as part of her “Meat Ministry Chronicles,” said she was moved to make the video because her “spirit was troubled” by the fact that people continue to enter the ocean even after several shark attacks, including a recent one in Surf City, North Carolina.

There has been a sharp increase in the number of shark attack incidents this year compared with last year.

“I’m on my way to church this morning, but I wanted to make a quick video because my spirit was troubled this morning. I had the news on and it was talking about somebody else done got ate up by a shark.”

Poleate wants us to be mindful of the risk we take when we trespass on shark territory. She wants us to learn from her example; although she swims, being a “floatation device,” still “I’m not going to the ocean because that’s the shark’s house.”

“I want you all to be mindful when you’re vacationing… go to the beach. Don’t go to the ocean. Okay, the ocean is the shark’s house.

“The Shark has the right to eat you up when you in his house. When chickens come in my house, guess what? They get ate. When pigs come in my house, they on the plate… [So] when you go in the shark’s house, you gonna get ate up, okay?

“So… you know let’s use some common sense. If you’re going to the beach, go to the beach… You watch the ocean from a distance.”

She also warns people that the shark’s eating privileges in his watery home also apply to the bear in his home in the woods.

She warns, “Stay out of the woods too. Don’t go foolin’ around with the bear either. The bears will you eat you up. That’s what they supposed to do ’cause you in their house… Can you imagine how excited the shark would be to see me layin’ up on a plate in his house? Lord Jesus, oh Lord no…”

A word to the wise is sufficient.

Reacting to her video going viral, Poleate said she was “so humbled by the response to her safety video,” noting that it has been her most popular video to date.
