Is Jason Hoppy Planning To Sue Bethenny Frankel?

Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel’s ongoing divorce may soon become even messier than it has been in recent months. Nearly three years after the couple split, their divorce is ongoing and seemingly moving along at a snail’s pace. And now, according to the latest development, Jason Hoppy’s split from the Real Housewives of New York City star could be further drawn out.

According to a July 9 report by Life & Style, a court insider recently revealed Jason Hoppy is looking into suing his soon-to-be ex-wife.

“[Jason Hoppy] talked to an attorney about whether they could sue Bethenny for breaking a confidentiality agreement.”

Apparently, Jason Hoppy is unhappy with Frankel’s talk of their split on The Real Housewives of New York City. In one particular episode, Frankel referred to her situation with Jason Hoppy as “pretty f—ing bad.”

Bernard Clair, Jason Hoppy’s lawyer, told the magazine he was simply trying to protect his daughter, Bryn Casey, from Frankel’s “inability or unwillingness to put a clamp on uninvited media attention.”

While Jason Hoppy is upset about the public speculation into their divorce, he didn’t seem to be opposed to the media just years ago when he and Frankel appeared on The Real Housewives of New York City together, and then went on to star in three seasons of their own series.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jason Hoppy is hoping to stay in their Tribeca home, which fans saw them renovate on Bethenny Ever After, but Frankel is hoping to regain access to the apartment. Earlier this week, a source told Radar Online that Frankel felt she was owed the home, as they bought it with what she claimed was her money.

In recent court documents, as reported by Radar, Frankel’s attorney made the following statement.

“On March 12, 2010 the parties executed their Prenuptial Agreement in which they mutually waived spousal maintenance from the other ‘both now and in the future.’ The award of any temporary maintenance, even for one year, was error as a matter of law.”

Jason Hoppy married Frankel in 2010, just one month prior to welcoming their first daughter together. In the months that followed, the two shared their lives with fans of Bravo and continued to build Frankel’s Skinnygirl empire, which she eventually sold to Jim Beam.

Jason Hoppy has stepped back from the spotlight since he and Frankel called it quits. Meanwhile, she continues to appear on The Real Housewives of New York City.
