WWE News: Triple H Finally Getting His Way With The Push Of WWE Superstar Cesaro
WWE Superstar Cesaro has proven for years now that he is worthy of being a WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He has had pushes and yet nothing came from them. We saw him win the first ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in impressive fashion. He picked up and dumped The Big Show over the top rope to roaring crowd at WrestleMania 30. The night after, he was paired with Paul Heyman. It all looked up for Cesaro who had been working hard to be seen as a credible singles star again.
Yet just as he proved it, his push dried up and he was no longer used well. Suddenly, a surge of love from WWE NXT fans got him some attention on the main roster where he came back up to have some moments. Finally, he was paired up with Tyson Kidd. The two became WWE Tag Team Champions and had some of the better tag matches of the year. While no one knew where the two would go, it was thought that both men could make it as singles stars.
WWE Executive Triple H wanted to push the both of them as singles competitors, which is why they ended up losing the tag titles so early. Despite this, Vince wanted the two to stay together to help the tag division that they were rejuvenating. The two were still tagging despite sort of being stagnate, but then Tyson Kidd got hurt, which caused Cesaro to work alone. This was for the better though.
According to Daily Wrestling News, Triple H wanted to push both Cesaro and Kidd by the end of the summer at the latest. Clearly with Kidd going down, Cesaro was forced to work as a singles worker, so it appears that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon signed off on the Cesaro push.
Cesaro was protected in his match with John Cena on the June 29th WWE RAW when he answered the US Title Open Challenge. It was a hot topic backstage, because it felt as if WWE was protecting Cesaro in order to push him in some way from this. Cesaro ended up facing John Cena yet again this past Monday where the two put on a classic. It is said that Cesaro ended up facing Cena this week for a reason, and it should be expected that Cesaro will be pushed more the remainder of the summer.
It will probably even leak over to the Fall. Cesaro very well could be the one who takes the WWE United States Title from John Cena, which would be a big deal at this point even though Cesaro has been US Champion before.
WWE has needed to push someone like Cesaro for a long time. He deserves the opportunity to show what he can do if put in the right position. His mic work does need help, but he had a manager at one point to correct this issue. For the time being, his actions speak more than enough for him. It might be best for WWE to just let Cesaro go in the ring and see what they can do from there. The better matches he has and the more impressive he looks, the more fans will love him. Love for a wrestler creates cash for Vince. When Vince sees numbers, he starts to see a star.
