Tom Cruise Parties With Nashville Locals Through The Independence Day Weekend

Tom Cruise may be one of the few Hollywood stars to still feel meek enough to spend time in the company of fans. Cruise possibly proved himself more down-to-earth than many previously thought, when he spent the Independence Day weekend, which also coincides with Cruise’s own birthday, partying with Nashville, Tennessee, locals.

For those spending the Fourth of July at Acme Feed & Seed bar, they found themselves in the company of Tom Cruise, when the actor took a break from filming Mena to fly down to Tennessee for the holiday weekend.

“He was on the rooftop watching the fireworks until it started raining,” a source told People. “Then he went down to the main event floor and hung out for the rest of the night.”

Although Mr. Cruise arrived with an entourage of friends and family, it wasn’t long before Tom was seen mixing and mingling with the bar’s local patrons.

“The roof is mission impossible tonight… Keep your eyes wide shut,” one local, Katie Dodson, posted to her Twitter account, along with a picture of smiling Tom Cruise.

“He was very people-friendly and didn’t seem stressed at all,” said the source. “He was having a great time.”

“No Way! @TomCruise! In #Nashville!!!” wrote another fan.

“Tom showed up just after dinner hours with a group of friends, a little after 7 p.m., and left after the fireworks a few hours later. He was hanging out outside on the rooftop where there was limited access, not everyone could go up there,” a source told E! News.

Apparently, sneaking out onto the bar’s roof was nothing out of the ordinary for locals, so Cruise’s appearance can’t be blamed for that seemingly unusual stunt. Actually, Broadway Street, where the restaurant and bar is located, hosts an annual Fourth of July concert and fireworks display. The roof of Acme Feed & Seed is the best seat in town to appreciate the live music and fireworks.

“Tom was nice enough to take photos with the people he met, spent time chatting to folks that came up to him and enjoyed some cocktails.”

For some Nashville locals, this Independence Day proved to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Currently, Tom Cruise is filming Mena, a thriller about a 1980s pilot who ends up working for both the CIA and as a drug runner. The film is scheduled for a January 6, 2017 theatrical release.

Tom Cruise is also involved in a Top Gun sequel.
