Jennifer Garner Still Wearing Wedding Ring, But Ben Has Already Ditched His

Jennifer Garner is still wearing her wedding ring a few days after she announced her split with husband Ben Affleck, even as Ben has quickly ditched his own band.

The actress went back to work on Monday after the holiday weekend, and was photographed on the set of Miracles From Heaven in Atlanta still wearing her wedding ring.

While Jen is still holding on to her band, her husband has already given his up. Affleck was spotted on Saturday in Los Angeles, with a very empty ring finger.

Just a few days before the sighting, Ben and Jen had taken a family vacation to the Bahamas and both were still wearing their rings. The trip had been planned to coincide with the announcement of their divorce, with sources saying the couple wanted to get their kids away from the spotlight and maintain a united front.

But on Saturday photographers caught Ben Affleck making a coffee run in Los Angeles, looking tired and disheveled. Sources say the divorce has been especially hard on him.

“Ben is distraught over the divorce and is having a very hard time,” a source told Us Weekly. “He doesn’t have a lot of close friends to lean on right now, and Jennifer has always been the one he goes to.”

As Jennifer Garner has shown by continuing to wear her wedding ring, the couple is committed to maintaining as much normalcy as possible for the sake of their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

In fact their divorce announcement made it a point to say that Ben and Jen were thinking of their kids first and foremost.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

Sources say the couple wants to make the divorce process as simple as possible and want to minimize the exposure to their kids.

“They don’t want this to be War of the Roses,” another source explained to Us Weekly. “They want it to be simple, and this takes the drama out of it. It is important for them to keep this nice and efficient for the sake of their family.”

But Jennifer Garner may not be wearing her wedding ring much longer. Sources also say that she and Ben Affleck also hope to finish the divorce process as quickly as possible.
