Jeff Glodblum: ‘Independence Day’ Star Blessed With A Son On 4th Of July

Jeff Goldblum became a dad this Fourth of July when he was blessed with a son. Despite being married thrice, the 62-year old, Independence Day star is a first-time father. His 32-year old wife, Emilie Livingston, and their son, whom they named Charlie Ocean Goldblum, are doing quite well, confirmed the actor.

Veteran actor Jeff Goldblum broke the news on social media and has been receiving congratulations ever since. Jeff appears to letting out a tear joy as he cuddles his wife and their newborn son.

A hospital information whiteboard in the background has the details of the celebrity couple as well as the baby. Announcing the news, Jeff Goldblum said,

“We’re so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July. Independence Day”

Jeff had confirmed the news about expecting a baby in April on the Late Late Show With James Corden, and little Charlie appears to have followed the timetable perfectly. Interestingly, Jeff had also chatted with David Letterman on the latter’s show way back in January. In the candid conversation, Jeff had shared how his wife had informed him about the news on their wedding day. Goldblum also said that he liked the name Elliot Charlie and Letterman said “you can’t go wrong with Charlie,” reported Entertainment Online. Though pregnant, Emilie had performed an amazing stunt:

Jeff Goldblum’s wife Emilie Livingston has been a three-time national champion of Canada and qualified for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, where she earned 17th in the all-around at the XXVII Olympiad. Needless to say she is very flexible and also explains her amazing post-delivery figure. Boasting about his super-flexible and multi-talented wife, Jeff had once said,

“She was the Pan American champion for rhythmic gymnastics and then was on the Canadian Olympic team for rhythmic gymnastics in Sydney in 2000. Now she does Cirque du Soleil-type aerial things.”

Jeff is currently in production on Independence Day: Resurgence, an action-packed sequel to 1996’s blockbuster Independence Day, which featured the star, along with Will Smith, devising clever tactics to fight against invading aliens. The original movie still remains one of the favorites, and fans have been urging the production house and the stars to make a sequel to the iconic movie.

When asked if he wanted to be a father later in his life, Jeff had simply said “nothing beats fatherhood.”
