The buzz this week in the lives of the 19 Kids and Counting stars is the fact that Jill Duggar Dillard, along with husband, Derick, and baby son, Israel, have taken off to their new life in a different country. The Duggar family posted their personal video of them saying their goodbyes to their loved ones in an emotional sendoff. It looks like they did depart, but have they really left the country?
While this 19 Kids and Counting family is definitely going to be living somewhere in an undisclosed location to do some missions work, they may still be in the U.S. for a bit. The clues may be in the update that Derick wrote on the Dillard Family Blog on July 5.
The reality star mentioned that he and Jill were planning on trying to visit with family and friends as much as they could before they departed. He did say that they had attended a cousin’s wedding last weekend where they got to spend some quality time with Derick’s family. This statement here could mean that they may have a bit more time to seek out some other people that they want to say goodbye to.
“We’ve purposed to spend as much time with friends and family as we can in the final days and weeks before departing for the field.”
When it comes to serious missions work, there is a lot that goes into it. As seen on a few episodes of 19 Kids and Counting, missions seem to be important in the lives of Jill and Derick. They have both been to Nepal, which is where they officially began courting. They have a heart for the people there to share their faith and to help in whatever way they can. Whether they have chosen to go back to Nepal this time, or a different country altogether, they may not be going directly there for days or weeks to get more prepared to be living there.
Derick also mentioned that they had their orientation just two weeks ago, so there may be more to do before they actually leave on a plane to go out of the country. Sometimes, there are a few more stops in the U.S. before they are released to actually go live there.
Jessa Duggar Seewald had posted a photo of Jill, Derick, and Israel getting ready to board a plane. However, the Inquisitr had recently reported that the snapshot was a fake. It was from weeks ago when they went on a speaking engagement. There are security issues for them and the Dillards are not ready to tell anyone where exactly they are headed to just yet.
However, the emotional family farewell video looks to be very real. Many fans have been crying along with them. No matter what anyone thinks of the Duggar family, you have to feel for Jill as she will be so far from her family.
It is inevitable that this couple will have more kids. Maybe not 19 of them, but they will most likely have a few while living out of the country. It will be hard not to have family around to help out.
Do you think that Jill and Derick are still in the U.S.?
