Lyme Disease Treatment: ‘RHOBH’ Star Yolanda Foster Shares Photo From Hyperbaric Chamber

Lyme disease continues to plague The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, and as she fights back against the illness, she’s keeping fans in the loop with her progress on social media. In her latest post, shared earlier this week, Foster uploaded a photo from her recent Lyme disease treatment, the hyperbaric chamber.

According to an E! News report on July 6, the hyperbaric chamber is “the medical use of oxygen at a level higher than atmospheric pressure.”

“Back at work…….. #HyperbaricChamber #ChronicLymeDisease #DeterminedToFindACure,” Foster captioned the post, which included a photo of her wearing a “Keep Smiling” sweatshirt.

Just after joining Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 3, Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Then, during Season 5, she suffered a Lyme disease relapse, which left her unable to read, write, or watch television. Since then, she’s struggled to get back to her old self — despite having traveled around the globe in hopes of finding a cure.

While Foster completed filming on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 at the end of last year, her Lyme disease made it impossible for her to continue to blog for Bravo TV, and when it came to filming the reunion, she was unable to participate in a full-time role.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Foster’s husband, David, is reportedly against her returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Weeks ago, a source told Radar Online David was hoping she would instead focus solely on recovering from Lyme disease.

“David has told Yolanda there is just no way she can return to the show because her condition is just getting worse. The Lyme disease is just ravaging her, and traveling for the international medical treatments is taking a toll. Yolanda is extremely weak, and her memory is suffering. David is just being protective because he doesn’t want any of the ladies to use her illness against her, as he knows those women are vicious.”

Although it may make sense for Foster to walk away from Bravo, she’s reportedly hoping she will continue on with the series, and spread awareness for Lyme disease along the way.

“It will break Yolanda’s heart if she can’t be on RHOBH because she wants to use the platform to raise awareness about the illness.”

Foster has yet to reveal whether or not her Lyme disease will keep her from filming Season 6.
