Secret Service Scandal: Sarah Palin Comments, 3 More Agents Resign

Three more ousted Secret Service agents have been forced to resign as a result of the developing Secret Service scandal allegedly involving Colombian prostitution and heavy alcohol consumption while the agents were staying at beachfront Hotel Caribe in Cartagena, Colombia on official business pertaining to President Obama’s security at the Summit of the Americas.

Secret Service agents involved in a developing scandal involving prostitution in Colombia have been placed on administrative leave while an official investigation into alleged misconduct is underway. CBS News reported that the total number of federal employees involved in the Secret Service scandal has risen from 11 to 12 with the addition of one more Secret Service employee having been recently implicated and now under investigation.

Sarah Palin was quoted by Fox News describing the affair as a “symptom of government run amok.” She went onto tell Fox:

“It’s like, who’s minding the store around here? The president, for one, he better be wary, there, of when Secret Service is accompanying his family on vacation. They may be checking out the first lady instead of guarding her.”

David Chaney, one of the two Secret Service supervisors forced to resign after the embarrassing prostitution scandal made headline news, published at least two photographs of himself with Palin on Facebook and wrote that he was:

“Checking her out.”

Chaney also responded to a friend’s comment on the picture in which he was assigned to guard Palin as he wrote:

“I was really checking her out, if you know what I [sic] mean?”

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin responded to Chaney’s lewd commentary as she was quoted by Fox News having said:

“Well, check this out, buddy – you’re fired!”

What are your thoughts on Palin’s response to Chaney’s comments in this developing Secret Service scandal?
