Shannon Beador Defends Marriage, Looks Back On Vicki Gunvalson’s Mother’s Death

Shannon Beador and her husband, David, have been extremely candid on the currently airing 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. In addition to sharing their family life with the show’s millions of fans, Shannon Beador and her husband also shared details about his recent affair.

On July 6, Beador looked back on the episode in her Bravo blog.

“David and I have made a lot of positive progress up to this episode, but you hear me talk about a bump in that progress tonight. When infidelity happens over the course of months, it isn’t possible to know everything that happened during that time period. The end result, however, is what is most important. If I happen to realize a lie that was told to me during the affair, David affirms his love for me and I feel his remorse. That is communication. That is moving forward. That is love.”

Shannon Beador and her husband showed cracks in their marriage during production on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 9, but by the end of filming, the couple appeared to be in a good place. Sadly, that was far from the case. Sometime last year, Shannon Beador discovered hotel receipts in her husband’s briefcase and confronted him about a possible affair. While David initially denied having cheated on Shannon Beador, he eventually admitted to his infidelity, and the pair began attending couples therapy in hopes of saving their marriage. Throughout Season 10, fans have seen moments of the couple’s therapy sessions, one of which included an exercise requiring them to write fake eulogies.

Also during filming on Season 10, Shannon Beador’s friend and co-star, Vicki Gunvalson, learned her mother had died during a phone call at a game night event. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gunvalson continues to miss her late mother.

“I am devastated for my friend Vicki. She had just spoken to her mother that morning and she told Vicki that her blood work was normal and she was going to be around for a long time. To learn such shocking and tragic news is difficult enough, but to do it while being filmed is unimaginable. I know that Vicki’s mother is watching over her and giving her lots of light. I wish there was something I could do to take away the pain.”

In Gunvalson’s own blog, she shared a tribute to her mother, Joanne Steinmetz, with fans.
