Nathan Griffith and Jenelle Evans are known for their heated fights. So, when the couple was photographed talking to police over the weekend, fans immediately assumed they had engaged in another one of their altercations. However, according to the Teen Mom 2 star, she and her fiance, Nathan Griffith, were speaking to police at the Myrtle Waves Water Park after allegedly being targeted — and hit — by an aggressive driver.
On July 3, Evans spoke to Starcasm about the shocking turn of events.
“[He] wouldn’t move over at left turn at an intersection, so I passed the van and made it to the left turn light. We made the left turn at the intersection and he followed me into Myrtle Waves with his entire family in a black Mercedes van and he was tailgating me.”
In addition to having Nathan Griffith in her passenger’s seat, Evans said she also had her two small children, 5-year-old Jace and 1-year-old Kaiser, in the car with her. Unfortunately, that didn’t stop the other driver from reportedly hurling insults out her and screaming in the parking lot of the water park.
“I jumped out and said, ‘You hit me! My kids are in the car!’ He’s like, ‘You cut me off.’ Then I’m like, ‘Oh, so that’s gives you the right to hit me?'”
According to Evans, things between her and the unnamed man got so heated that his wife “almost swung on me” and told her “you deserve to die.”
“I said, ‘What did you just say to me? I deserve to die?’ He said, ‘Yeah you heard me.’ I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s communicating threats, dude.'”
Although a Myrtle Waves worker reportedly witnessed the incident and sided with Evans, police were unable to determine who was at fault, as there were no injuries and the incident occurred on private property.
“So my insurance has to fix his van and his insurance has to fix my car.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, one of Evans and Nathan Griffith’s recent domestic incidents will soon play out on Teen Mom 2. In a recently released sneak peek of Season 6, shared by Wetpaint Entertainment, Nathan Griffith was seen being arrested for assault as his fiance Evans looked on.
The charges against Nathan Griffith were later dropped.
