Will Kathy Wakile be seen on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey? According to E! News on July 1, there is a 50 percent chance she will.
“[Kathy Wakile] was a full-time cast member for seasons three-five, but appeared as a ‘friend’ during the sixth season. A return to the family elements could be in RHONJ’s future.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 came to an end last year, and so far, it has yet to be renewed. However, with the upcoming release of Teresa Giudice from prison, it is sure to begin sometime at the end of this year, or early next year, and when it does, it makes sense that Kathy Wakile will be welcomed back. Although the show failed to deliver in ratings last year, it thrived when the focus was on family, as E! News mentioned, so having Wakile, Giudice’s cousin, on the show could be a sure thing.
Kathy Wakile joined the series during Season 3, along with Giudice’s sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. At the time, Giudice claimed the two women joined the show behind her back, but, as the Inquisitr reported, Wakile denied any such thing. Speaking to Real Mr. Housewife in April of this year, Wakile explained how the casting process for The Real Housewives of New Jersey works.
“My first correspondence with anyone from casting was way back in early March or April of 2010. We didn’t start filming until late October… I didn’t sign my contract until a day before I started filming because I wasn’t sure about joining the show.
Teresa can claim anything she wants about why I came on, but that simply doesn’t make it the truth. We made up publicly on the show and we made up privately, but it seems to me like she’s continuing to rehash stuff that happened years ago. It doesn’t seem like she has changed if she is going to keep doing this.”
In May, during an interview with OK! Magazine in regard to the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Kathy Wakile claimed she could return to her full-time role when the series returns.
“You’ll have to watch and see but there’s been a lot of talk.”
No word yet on who could possibly join Kathy Wakile on the upcoming installment of the hit Bravo series, and an announcement likely won’t be made for another few months.
