WWE News: Big Update On Sting Vs. The Undertaker, WrestleMania 32 Match Nixed?

It’s the match that WWE fans have craved for years. When the Monday Night War ended, the WWE Universe felt they were getting the dream matchup. Sting and the Undertaker were destined to face each other for over a decade. However, roadblocks got in the way of the match occurring. Roadblock number one was the avoidance of the WWE by Sting. When WCW folded, he didn’t come to WWE.

During the WWE’s underachieving years, the Undertaker didn’t defect to WCW like Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan. If he would’ve, then wrestling history would tell a different tale. In fact, Triple H and Sting sat down with Renee Young about the Monday Night Wars. It was a fascinating discussion.

Just when WWE fans were losing hope, Sting finally signed with the WWE. It was over a decade in the making, but the unthinkable occurred. Then, WWE booked Sting against Triple H at WrestleMania 31, while the Undertaker took on a injured Bray Wyatt. Needless to say, it wasn’t the matches WWE fans were looking for.

After WrestleMania 31, Sting and the Undertaker both went away to their normal lives. When it turns to summer, the next year’s WrestleMania rumors always begin. In fact, Vince McMahon likes to have WrestleMania main events decided by SummerSlam. The “Biggest Party of the Summer” is a month and a half away.

Therefore, matches for WrestleMania 32 are already in discussions. In that earlier report by the Inquisitr, Sting and the Undertaker were wanted by Vince McMahon, who wants to induct the Undertaker in the WWE Hall of Fame the night prior. The scene would be perfect, especially in Taker’s home state. However, in the wrestling business, anything can change. Those same plans have already shifted.

According to Daily Wrestling News, Vince McMahon has changed his mind on Sting and the Undertaker wrestling at WrestleMania 32.

“Apparently Sting vs. The Undertaker is not happening next year after all. Vince is said to be negative on the idea of that match but WWE does have other plans for Sting coming up. Sting is also a possibility for the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame as he lives in the Dallas area now.”

There’s a logical reason as to why Sting and Taker would not wrestle this upcoming WrestleMania. Sting needs to win in the WWE.

If the aforementioned scenario took place, why would the Undertaker get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, then lose the next night? Perhaps Vince McMahon is being wise about the entire situation. Both legends are fragile in that aspect and must be protected. We’ll keep you up to date as this story develops.
