New ‘Spa Day’ Game Pack Officially Announced For ‘The Sims 4’
Every Sim needs a day off. After all, some have busy new active jobs to contend with while others run their own business, raise kids, or run around on their spouses. With the hectic Sim life in mind, a new game pack is on the way. Players will soon be able to treat their Sims to the relaxing getaway known as the “Spa Day” game pack. Electronic Arts and Maxis announced the new game pack via social networking sites like Twitter and, of course, the pack was formally detailed on the The Sims 4 website.
Like the first game pack for The Sims 4 “Outdoor Retreat,” players will find a new experience for their Sims to enjoy in “Spa Day.” A new venue, the spa, is included in the game pack letting players use one of the premade Maxis spas for a mini-vacation or players can make their own spa on a venue lot.
Within in a spa in The Sims 4, Sims can relax in a number of ways with new objects like a massage chair or mud bath. Frisky Sims can even WooHoo in a sauna or treat themselves to the iconic spa day massage. Since “Spa Day” is a game pack, other additions like new activities are also a part of the DLC.
Sims will also be able to improve their Wellness in a number of ways with “Spa Day.” Doing yoga, administering massages, and meditating increase their Wellness statistic. With a high Wellness, new yoga poses, better massages, and “a special meditation surprise” will be granted to the Sim.
The new “Spa Day” game pack is currently scheduled to release on July 14. Like “Outdoor Retreat” it is likely to cost $19.99, but no specific price point has been announced at this time. There is quite a selection of optional DLC for The Sims 4 available right now, too. Two stuff packs, “Perfect Patio Stuff” and “Luxury Party Stuff,” are out now that add a number of objects and decoration to the game. One expansion pack, “Get to Work,” is also accessible giving players the opportunity to give Sims new active jobs, learn new skills, and much more.
Not to mention, plenty of free content gets added to The Sims 4 as well. Just last month a new neighborhood was added to the game giving players several empty lots to accommodate existing and new Sims. As the Inquisitr reported, the new neighborhood Newcrest adds 15 extra lots to the game.
