What To Expect From Ben Affleck’s Version Of Batman

While Ben Affleck’s marriage to Jennifer Garner has ended, his career is still moving in full force. Secrets about his future Batman roles have been coming out of the woodwork.

Ben Affleck is even slated to make his first appearance, despite the constant rumors over his personal life. Warner Bros. announced on Wednesday, June 30, that Affleck will join actor Henry Cavill and director Zack Snyder at Comic-Con on July 11 to promote their upcoming film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

What should fans expect in the new film? Warner Bros. hinted that there will be a super hero showdown.

“Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

That’s not the only film that Ben Affleck will play Batman in. Affleck is also going to be directing and playing Bruce Wayne five times for the next four years. The actor is working on a film titled The Batman, which will come out in 2018. It’s the first time that an Oscar winner has directed a Batman film, let alone dabbled with a different genre.

A leaked photo that appears to be an official document from Warner Bros. reveals information about The Batman feature film. The document hasn’t been confirmed, but it still falls in line with the rumors surrounding The Batman.

Ben Affleck could bring some much-needed maturity to the new Batman films. That means fans should say goodbye to the broody Batman as told by Christopher Nolan, and the borderline gothic version created by Tim Burton. It will be the first time that fans see a mature and adult-minded Batman, as depicted by Affleck.

Ben is also reported to be working with Chris Terrio, writer of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. The Batman is slated for a November, 2018, release, although Warner Bros. has confirmed neither the date, nor the release. If the release date is true, Affleck’s Batman film would go head-to-head with Marvel’s Captain Marvel movie. Although very few details about Affleck’s film have been revealed, International Business Times thinks that the story will be related to the DC Cinematic Universe.

“It’s safe to assume that the film’s plot might be strongly linked to the overall DC Cinematic Universe, unless the makers decide to set the story in a different time period.”

Ben Affleck finally gave fans a taste of what he’ll sound like as Batman. Affleck’s co-star, Seth Lee, shared the video on Instagram. You can hear Affleck as he says, “I’m Batman.” It’s a fun take on what fans can expect on Affleck’s version of the beloved super hero.

Fans have already received a taste of Affleck’s Batman voice from the Batman v Superman teaser released earlier this year. You can hear Affleck’s robotic voice ask, “Tell me, do you bleed?”

What are your thoughts on Ben Affleck’s Batman voice? Do you think he will suit the role? Affleck’s first film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, will premiere in theaters on March 25, 2016.
