Iggy Azalea Denies Having A ‘Beef’ With Ms. Britney Spears
Iggy Azalea is at it again! After it’s been reported that Iggy is in a Twitter feud with Britney Spears, the Australian took to the social networking site once again to deny being involved in a feud with the pop singer.
Azalea is not keeping quiet after Britney Spears’ epic tweet. She’s back for round two, according to celebrity gossip site, Oh No They Didn’t. Azalea came back to Twitter to quash the rumors that she’s in a “beef” with Spears.
Iam honestly not surprised but still really saddened that the media is trying to create a “beef” between @britneyspears and myself.

Iggy says that there are no bad feelings between her and Britney. She claims that she’s still good friends with the pop princess.
We remain friends and i haven’t said anything negative at all about her. Does wishing we had promoted a single more make me the bad guy?

The “Fancy” rapper also wrote about how she hates when the media pits two women against each other. Azalea says that she’s taken “great offense” to all the reports surrounding her alleged feud with Spears.
i feel like the media wants women in music to get out and mud wrestle each other. As a woman i take great offense.

According to Iggy, Britney wasn’t “throwing shade” her way. The rapper says that Britney is her girl and she supports her, no matter what. Iggy also says that the media either loves seeing women fight or be sexual with one another.
Women in the media should be able to have a grown up and subjective opinion without it being anything more than that. its disappointing.

No one is throwing “shade” or “shots” on either side of the table. The girl is my friend and i support her 100%.
— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) June 30, 2015
i feel like the press just wants to see girls be overtly sexual to one another, and have no real opinion other than “i love it! ^.^”
— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) June 30, 2015
Im over it. Women in music are not the same as a teen drama. Stop making us all out to be, we are business women & artists. Not mean girls.

The rapper also had a warning for all “freelance bloggers.”
And to all freelance bloggers: YOURE WELCOME. im back on twitter connecting with my fans; so you have tons to twist and get paid off again.

So how did Iggy and Britney’s alleged Twitter feud start? Several reports claimed that Iggy was blaming Britney for the poor promotion of their sing “Pretty Girls.” She then took to Twitter to explain that since she was featured artist, she had no control over the promotion of the song.
Azalea wrote, “It’s difficult to send a song up the charts without addition promo and tv performances etc. Unfortunately I’m just featured…” (Sic)
Spears hit back on Twitter. She tweeted the following: “Can’t wait to get back to Vegas. So thankful I have shows for the rest of the year to look forward to…#YouWantAPieceOfMe.”
The tweet was posted hours after Iggy’s fan Q&A on Monday. That very tweet caused fans to wonder if there was a sudden rift in Britney and Iggy’s friendship. Rumors started swirling that Britney was slamming Iggy for cancelling her world tour and her headlining appearance at Pittsburgh gay pride event.
“Pretty Girls” only peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It then dropped out of the Top 40 Charts three weeks later, and only sold a meager 96,000 in total sales to date both digitally and streaming, according to a previous report on the Daily Beast.
Spears’ wallet isn’t hurting though. The legendary Ms. Britney Spears has countless No. 1 hits under her belt plus a $46 million net worth and an extended Las Vegas residency. Azalea’s wallet may be hurting more now that she’s been cancelling performances left and right, and recently admitted that she’s struggling with making music for her sophomore album. It sounds like Azalea is already experiencing the sophomore slump before it even began.
Iggy Azalea has faced a lot of backlash for most of this year. The rapper has been hit with criticism for her cultural appropriation and history of racist and homophobic tweets. Iggy also rapped that she’s a “runaway slave-master” on one of her tracks off her debut album. Not to mention, Iggy has been received criticism for her plastic surgery procedures and the status of her rap music career.
