Amber Alert Issued In New York City After Child Abducted [Updated]


The Amber Alert that was issued for the 3-year-old New York girl has been canceled.

The girl was found safe in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, according the NYPD. The condition and circumstances related to this situation are unclear.

An Amber Alert has been issued after a child was abducted in New York City. The child is a female who is 3-years-old and was reportedly taken around noon in East Harlem, according to CBS New York.

Police are looking for Patrick Giblin, who they believe is connected to the case. He was last seen leaving a mental health clinic with the female child, who is believed to have Down Syndrome. Police think that Giblin is related to the child

Giblin is described as a white man, approximately 50-years-old with short, brown hair and green eyes. He is approximately six feet tall and weights 230 pounds and was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and a camouflage cap.

Authorities say that Giblin is suicidal and suffers from PTSD. He was last seen heading east on the Brooklyn Bridge in a black Dodge Durango with New York license plate number GDE4791.

Anyone with information on the man or child’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
