Watch live online as “the biggest party in sport” moves for the first time to St. Kitts, as the Jamaica Tallawahs visit the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the first Caribbean Premier League cricket match at Warner Park Stadium on St. Kitts.
The Patriots joined the CPL as a new franchise for the 2015 season, filling in for the dormant Antigua Hawksbills, a team that is planned to rejoin the Caribbean Premier League at some point for the coming season, when the T20 franchise-based cricket tournament expands from six teams to seven.
To find out how to watch the Jamaica Tallawahs vs. St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots Caribbean Premier League Match Number Nine live online, see the information in the final paragraph of this article. The game starts at 6 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time on Tuesday, June 30, which is the same as United States Eastern Daylight Time, or 3 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. Online streaming coverage begins 10 minutes before first ball.
Both teams bring 1-1 records into the showdown, with the first eight 2015 CPL matches divided between Barbados and St. Lucia. Tuesday’s game will be the first chance for the cricket fans of St. Kitts and Nevis to see such West Indies stars as Chris Gayle, Jerome Taylor, and Andre Russell in person for the Tallawahs.
The home side features New Zealand international Martin Guptill, Pakistan star Shahid Afridi, and West Indies’ own Marlon Samuels.
The Tallawahs are coming off a huge win on Sunday, when Gayle exploded for an unbeaten 90 off of just 36 balls — an outburst that included nine sixes — on their way to a 10-wicket slaughter of the St. Lucia Zouks, after Jamaica’s bowlers held the home side to a mere 118.
In other big Caribbean Premier League cricket news Monday, one of the world’s most respected cricketers, Pakistan Test Captain Misbah al-Huq, will make his return to the CPL on July 11 after his national team wraps up its final Test against Sri Lanka. Misbah — who retired from ODI cricket after leading Pakistan to the quarterfinals of the World Cup in March — played CPL cricket previously with St. Lucia.
He will join the Barbados Tridents when Pakistan international Shoaib Malik rejoins his national side for the five-match ODI series in Sri Lanka.
