Taylor Swift Fans Boo Katy Perry As She Battles Nuns And Rich Celebrities

Katy Perry is in the fight for her life lately.

Not only is the “Dark Horse” singer in an alleged bitter feud with Taylor Swift, but she’s also battling nuns for a luxury convent and rich celebs for a top spot in Forbes magazine’s annual list. Katy Perry’s life sounds rather busy and exhausting lately.

Taylor Swift’s fans reportedly booed Katy Perry at a recent concert. Swifties are obviously dedicated to their beloved singer. During the British summer music festival, Katy Perry’s face flashed on the large screen before Swift’s face popped up. Swift’s fans reportedly booed and heckled the pop singer.

In the video for Capital FM 95.8 that shows a large number of artists before Taylor’s concert. The featured artists included Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, and of course, Taylor Swift. When Katy’s face appeared on the screen, fans booed the pop star. Once Taylor’s face was seen on the screen, fans wildly cheered for the country-turned-pop singer.

The former Christian singer is also battling nuns over a Los Angeles convent. Los Angeles Archibshop Joseph Gomez started the reported feud with the Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary because of the pending sales of the nuns’ former convent to Katy Perry.

The battle is not over selling the convent to Katy. It’s about who has the legal right to sell the former convent, which has million-dollar views of downtown Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Mountains. The sisters of the Immaculate Heart say that the convent is theirs, and they only have the rights to sell it, which they did for $15.5 million. The nuns sold it to restaurateur Dana Hollister before the archdiocese sold it to Katy Perry for a cool $14.5 million.

Perry reportedly met with the sisters and sang the song, “Oh Happy Day” to them, but that didn’t sit well with them. According to the nuns, they’re going to fight this until the bitter end.

Now Katy Perry is battling other rich female celebrities on Forbes magazine’s annual list of the “Top 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities” list. The singer landed the cover of the magazine even though she sits at number three, behind Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. The earnings from Perry’s Prismatic World Tour have launched her into huge financial success, along with her fragrance line and fashion endorsements.

Katy’s alleged enemy, Taylor Swift, is at the top of another Forbes list. Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris was crowned as the highest-paid celebrity couple by Forbes. The couple raked in $146 million in the past year, according to the magazine. That means Taylor and Calvin moved Jay Z and Beyonce down to second place.

Katy Perry doesn’t need a boyfriend to top any ‘ole list though. She does it on her own. Perry unabashedly told the magazine, “I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company. I’m an entrepreneur…I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to grab it by its balls.”

The Forbes writer took a dig at Swift by saying about Perry, “Instead of grumping about Spotify like many of her fellow artists, she’s simply adapted to the times.”
