Sandra Bullock’s Minion-inspired shoes garnered a lot of attention during her recent appearance on the yellow carpet, and the actress’ high-heels were the buzz of the event, USA Today reports. The Minions star wore Rupert Sanderson-designed heels to the Los Angeles premiere of the upcoming film. The banana-yellow shoes are part of the Minions Bello Yellow Collection, which features clothing and accessories from a number of U.K. labels, all inspired by the film and its 1960s London setting.

Saturday was the big premiere of the highly-anticipated new animated film, Minions, in Los Angeles, California. Several celebs, including actors who gave their voices to these unique characters, were in attendance.

Prior to the screening of the film, the celebs paraded, some accompanied by their children, the “yellow carpet” (this time, the red carpet was a yellow color).

One of the stars that captured the eyes of those in attendance at the premiere was actress Sandra Bullock, who even wore Minion shoes. When questioned about her Minion-inspired pumps, Sandra gave an interesting response.

“I’m always in a Minion state of mind. It’s impossible for people to understand me. I’m constantly making odd sounds and things are always a disaster where I am. But somehow, I always get out alive. I’m basically a Minion.”

Sandra Bullock just made her first public appearance at an event, after a year away from the media circus. Nominated for an Oscar for the science fiction thriller film, Gravity,Sandra looked fabulous during the Minions premiere. The actress, 50, who voices the supervillain Scarlett Overkill, returned to show off her elegance on the “yellow carpet” by wearing a gorgeous black and yellow dress with matching Minion-inspired pumps.

Selected by People Magazine as the most beautiful woman of 2015, the actress stars as the villainous Scarlet Overkill in the upcoming movie, which opens July 10. Producer Chris Meledandri believed that Sandra Bullock would fit nicely as the world’s first-ever female super-villain, with the concept being an original proposal.

In an interview with USA Today, Meledandri, who is also head of the animation studio Illumination Entertainment, gave the following statement about Sandra Bullock’s character.

“Scarlet Overkill has fantastic hair, wears great clothes and has a lethal uppercut. When we turn her loose on the world, she is going to come out standing on top. … Scarlet has all the gadgetry and accouterments of villainy. This is a side to Sandra Bullock we haven’t seen before. She is really enjoying playing with this villainy. But underneath there’s a character you cannot help but fall in love with.”
