Image Of Christ Appears In Divine Tortilla

For the second time this year, Jesus Christ has made his presence known in the most unusual way — in a tortilla. Images of Jesus Christ and Mary seem to appear in random places all the time, but to appear in tortillas within four months of each other is not a common occurrence.

The most recent appearance of Jesus Christ occurred in Tlalixtac de Cabrera, Mexico, when a woman was routinely making corn tortillas for her family. She wasn’t paying much attention to the individual tortillas since the task had become completely routine for her. However, by chance, she looked down and noticed the face of Jesus Christ staring up back at her. Enedina Mendoza was shocked by the image, believing that it was a divine appearance and she was blessed to be chosen to witness the image.

Mendoza was excited about the image of Jesus Christ and could not wait to show her sister, according to Fox News Latino.

“I had, had the tortilla there (by fire) a while and it wasn’t browning, so I pulled it out and I never look at my tortillas, I make them and that’s it, I put them where I have to put them. But this one, I took and I looked at the tortilla and I said to my sister: ‘Look, I’ve got Christ!’ “

Under normal circumstances, Mendoza does not take a second glance while making corn tortillas. She simply moves on to the next and continues with her work. However, something out of the ordinary made her take a second look. She does not know why she looked again, but is ecstatic that she had the opportunity to see the face of Jesus Christ staring back at her.

Rather than serve the tortilla to her family and lose the image forever, she has decided to preserve it. According to Click 2 Houston, the tortilla is now predominantly displayed on the family’s altar, for all to worship and pray to.

Mendoza has not shared if she will allow outsiders to visit and worship to the corn tortilla Jesus Christ, or whether she would accept an offer from anyone that wishes to purchase the tortilla. However, she has considered herself blessed to be chosen by Jesus Christ to be the recipient of his image and is forever grateful for his love and compassion.
