Bobbi Kristina Brown: A Little Girl Lost

What was Bobbi Kristina Brown really like before the incident that stole her vitality? Though the whole world knows her name, it seems few people were close enough to truly get a glimpse of the girl beneath the facade. Sadly, those who had intimate knowledge of Bobbi Kristina’s personality after the death of her mother, Whitney Houston, paint a portrait of a lost and lonely little girl.

Daphne Barak, an interviewer for the Daily Mail, became quite close to Bobbi Kristina in the period of time between Whitney’s untimely demise and the girl’s own drowning incident, which closely shadowed that of her mother. For over a year, Daphne and Bobbi Kristina collaborated on a film detailing a portion of Whitney’s life.

“I first contacted Bobbi Kristina after seeing private footage of Whitney’s wedding to singer Bobby Brown. The elegance and the glamour of the occasion persuaded me to tell the story of this other Whitney, with her daughter as the narrator. Bobbi Kristina was delighted to be approached.”

At the time, Bobbi Kristina was only 18-years-old. The relationship between the two women grew as they worked together on the project centering on Whitney Houston. The heartbroken girl was lost without her mother.

“I miss her like hell. When Mom passed, I was lost. She had taught me everything up until I was 18. How to be a woman. Now I am working on that alone. For me, she wasn’t Whitney Houston the star. She was my mom.”

The interviewer feels that she became a sort of surrogate mom to Bobbi Kristina.

“Bobbi Kristina lived a rather naive, childlike existence. More than anything else, it was the loss of her mother that struck home and there were times when I found myself almost in that role.”

Radar Online spoke with an anonymous source who also felt that Bobbi Kristina led a lonely life.

“We can all speculate if Krissi Brown took drugs or not and this is what will happen — it will die after a while and the story that will take life is this lady tried as hard as she could. And she turned to the closest person to her and that’s this guy Nick Gordon. I’m sad that this young lady is in the place she is right now.

I see someone who has tried to make the best of the life she was given. That’s what I’ve seen through the years regardless of what brought that life on.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown was placed in hospice care earlier this week. The family continues to ask for prayer.
