Kate Middleton and Prince William recently had tea with Hollywood royalty — Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie met up with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to talk about a very serious matter. It was the first meeting between two of the most powerful couples on the planet, but it sounds like they became fast friends.
According to Us Weekly, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie managed to score an invite to Kensington Palace “after months of coordinating.” A Kensington Palace spokesperson revealed that Kate Middleton and Prince William enjoyed tea with Brangelina on Friday afternoon, and the couples talked about a cause that they both care very deeply about: the illegal wildlife trade.
Brangelina brought a “special gift” for Kate Middleton to give to Princess Charlotte, but there’s no word on what it was. However, given the subject that the couples talked about, perhaps it was a cute stuffed animal. According to CNN, Will and Kate tried to instill a love of wildlife in Prince George by decorating his room with toy rhinos and elephants.
Kate Middleton and her husband are used to people being thrilled to meet them, but this time they were the star-struck fans. The royal couple was reportedly “really excited” to meet Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and the actor and actress “got on splendidly” with their hosts. In fact, the foursome enjoyed each other’s company so much that they spent more time together than they intended to. Perhaps this means that they’ll meet up again someday in a continued effort to save the endangered animals of the world.
Maybe Will and Kate convinced Brad and Angie to become United for Wildlife ambassadors. According to People, Prince William launched this wildlife conservation organization shortly after Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George. United for Wildlife’s goal is “to inspire a new generation of wildlife supporters” to do what they can to ensure that endangered animals are around for their children to enjoy. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have enough kids to create an entire army of conservationists, so you can see why Will wants them involved with his pet cause. His organization’s famous ambassadors already include David Beckham and Andy Murray.
Brangelina isn’t the first celebrity power couple that Prince William and Kate Middleton have met. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the royal couple briefly chatted with Beyonce and Jay-Z last December. Bey and Jay just happened to be attending Will and Kate’s first NBA game, a Barclays Center matchup between Brooklyn Nets play the Cleveland Cavaliers. During this same trip to America, Prince William gave a speech at the International Corruption Hunters Alliance Conference in Washington, D.C., and he announced that he was forming a special task force to fight illegal wildlife trafficking.
Do you think the endangered animals of the world can breathe easier knowing that they have Kate Middleton, Prince William, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt fighting to save their very precious lives?
