‘The Walking Dead’: See Norman Reedus Kissing Danai Gurira On The Set Of The Show [Video]

The Walking Dead fans can always count on Norman Reedus to make the wait for the start of the next season a bit more bearable. The popular actor just made many fans’ dreams come true by starring in a makeout session between Daryl Dixon and Michonne (Danai Gurira).

Unfortunately for “Dixonne” shippers, this kiss isn’t a season 6 spoiler — it happened during the shooting of a behind-the-scenes look at The Walking Dead season premiere. BGR recently shared the video, which features Abraham Ford actor Michael Cudlitz interviewing other cast members on The Walking Dead set. While Michael is talking to Danai Gurira underneath the shade of a huge truck, Norman Reedus sneaks up on the pair and starts pretending to make out With Danai.

“Someone’s excited to be back,” Cudlitz quips while a giggling Dania Gurira covers her face with her hand. From the sounds of it, Norman Reedus really enjoyed their kiss. You can check out the surprise snogging session in the video below.

Another notable moment from The Walking Dead behind-the-scenes video is actor Lennie James trying to get in character as Morgan Jones by waving that lethal stick of his around. As you can see, there’s also a scene being shot that involves digging beside a road. A large group of survivors is gathered together, and it looks like they might be building or repairing a wall. Fans of The Walking Dead spoilers might notice that one of the main characters is missing from the group.

Cudlitz says that the season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead is going to be mind-blowing, and director/executive producer Greg Nicotero recently revealed that fans will definitely want to use their minds while watching the episode. During an interview with Collider at the Saturn Awards, The Walking Dead special effects supervisor revealed that the premiere presents viewers with a puzzle, and they’re expected to piece it together by the end of the episode. Nicotero directed the premiere, which he describes as “bold.”

“We want our audience to think,” Nicotero said. “They get to put together the puzzle that we are presenting to them, knowing that by the end of the episode that they will have arrived at the conclusion that we want them to arrive at.”

Nicotero also said that he and the other powers-that-be will be making some “risky moves” throughout season 6 of The Walking Dead. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple dropped a few hints about what these might be by saying that they’ll be “playing with structure” and “attacking the story in different ways.” You can check out Nicotero and Gimple’s interview below.

Unfortunately, the season 6 premiere might have a tough time topping that kiss between Norman Reedus and Danai Gurira. The Walking Dead returns Sunday, October 11, on AMC.
