Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Author Claims Nick Gordon Is Scared, Sprints From Reporters
Nick Gordon, spotted recently running away from reporters after being questioned about Bobbi Kristina Brown, may be running scared, at least according to author Ian Halperin.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Halperin, who recently published the unauthorized biography Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame, feels that Gordon is running scared after being hit with a civil lawsuit.
The civil lawsuit, which claims Gordon knocked out some of Bobbi Kristina’s teeth, pulled her hair, and stole $11,000 from her bank account, may lead to criminal charges as well.
Halperin indicates that Gordon knows that he may face criminal charges soon, and although on surface Gordon may appear confident, he’s really “shaking in his boots.”
“This is a clear-cut case of negligence, of abuse, of foul play. And right now, Nick Gordon is shaking in his boots. I have spoken today to members of Bobby Brown’s family, and they want justice immediately.”
Although the civil lawsuit indicates that Gordon allegedly stole around $11,000, Halperin insists that the amount is actually much higher. The couple also had joint accounts, according to Halperin, which Gordon reportedly demanded.
“They had joint accounts. Nick insisted on it. There were fancy cars. There was fancy jewelry. There were trips. We won’t know until a proper investigation is done. But I’ll tell you right now it’s much more than $11,000.”
Gordon, however, has always maintained his innocence, claiming he loves Bobbi Kristina and would never hurt her. Yet, his actions indicate that he wants to distance himself from the incident as much as possible.
Yesterday, Gordon sprinted across a lawn to avoid reporters asking him about Bobbi Kristina. Since Jan. 31, when Bobbi Kristina was found comatose in her own bathtub, Gordon has refused to give her family a detailed account of what happened.
Earlier this week, Gordon was spotted relaxing in a hot tub just a day after Bobbi Kristina was transferred to hospice care. Shortly after, he deleted his Twitter account, which once had a myriad of photos of himself with Bobbi Kristina.
Close friends have seemed to turn against Gordon, including Mason Whitaker, who once stood by Gordon’s side and defended him against allegations. Although Whitaker made his Twitter account private, a recent post indicates that he doesn’t want to associate with Gordon anymore.
“@Jeda96 don’t associate me with him. I’m disgusted and sick from what I’ve heard.”
Meanwhile, the senseless tragedy that left Bobbi Kristina Brown in hospice has touched people across the world, including celebrities who fondly remember the 22-year-old growing up in the spotlight, alongside her famous mother, the late Whitney Houston.
