Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Nick Gordon Is Innocent, Says Relative, Bobby Brown In Shock

Nick Gordon has remained the primary suspect in the January 31 Bobbi Kristina Brown incident, but he’s faced more heat in the past few days after a civil lawsuit was filed against him. A relative, however, states that Gordon is a “scapegoat,” and shouldn’t be held liable.

People reports that Gordon, currently living with mother in Florida, hasn’t said much regarding Bobbi Kristina’s recent move to hospice care, even after learning that her conservator filed a civil suit against him. The civil suit claims Gordon assaulted Bobbi Kristina and stole $11,000 from her bank account while she lay comatose in a hospital.

One of Gordon’s relatives, who wants to remain anonymous, claims that the civil suit is just an excuse to pin the blame on someone, and that Gordon did nothing wrong.

“He feels – and we all feel – like Nick has been a scapegoat in this case. It’s scary for him, because he hasn’t done anything wrong. He is completely innocent.”

The relative states that Gordon has always cooperated with the authorities, and that he has nothing to hide. Yet, many people see the situation differently after Gordon refused to give the Brown family a written statement on exactly what happened that night.

“He has always cooperated with police, and he has nothing to hide. Anyone who looks at the facts would see that.”

Regardless, the investigation incident was handed over to the Fulton County District Attorney’s (DA) Office earlier this week. Although Gordon has yet to face criminal charges, the DA states that it’s looking at the case with “greater interest.”

Gordon still cannot visit Bobbi Kristina, and despite pleading to see her, he continues to refuse to detail what happened that night. There is a chance that his attorney advised him not to speak on the issue, but that advice is what led to him being barred from visitation.

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina was moved to Peachtree Christian Center’s hospice care in Duluth, Georgia, earlier this week. Bobby Brown, 46, Bobbi Kristina’s father, was one of the first people to arrive at the hospice center to visit her.

Johnny Gill, Brown’s former New Edition band member, states that the “Don’t Be Cruel” singer is in shock and not doing well after his daughter was transferred to hospice care.

“State of mind? In a nutshell, not good. Not good. We just had a conversation yesterday. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.”

Gill also said that while it’s common knowledge that Brown’s relationship with Bobbi Kristina was strained, father and daughter had been working on mending it before the tragedy occurred.

“It was no secret that Bobby and Bobbi Kris had an estranged relationship for a certain period of time. One Father’s Day, it was a few years back, she called and he was just so over the top and elated that she had reached out. They started from that point to rebuild that part of their relationship.”

So far there is no news as to how Bobbi Kristina Brown is holding up in hospice. According to family members, she’s being kept as comfortable as possible as she makes the transition, but they are still holding out for a miracle.
