Steve Jobs Biopic Starring Ashton Kutcher To Begin Filming Next Month

First-time movie producer Mark Hulme revealed on Sunday that the Steve Jobs biopic he has put together starring Ashton Kutcher will begin filming in May.

The biopic wills start filming at the beginning of the month and will follow Steve Jobs’ life from 1971 through 2000, the same period already explored in the Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley.

Whether or not you appreciate the acting styling of Ashton Kutcher there is no denying that he really does look like a 1970’s version of Steve Jobs (comparison pictured above).

While Kutcher is no stranger to serious roles (The Butterfly Effect, The Guardian) he is more commonly known for his comedy roles (That 70s Show and Two And A Half Men) and for his producing credits (Punk’d, Beauty And The Geek).

If you’re excited to see the independent film you can find it under the name Jobs: Get Inspired.

When speaking about the film Kutcher says he expected family and friends of Steve Jobs to enjoy the movie, noting:

“We have proposed for the movie to be an accurate and inspirational portrayal of his fascinating life and the huge impact he had on the world, so yes we expect his family and friends to appreciate it.”

The movie is expected to have of quick turn around time, releasing in the fourth quarter of 2012, likely towards the end of the year.

As a fan of Pirates of Silicon Valley I personally can’t wait to see a biopic that focuses just on the side of Steve Jobs.
