Kylie Jenner’s Makeup Mishap: Suffers From Contouring Fail At Cannes Event
Kylie Jenner may have become a beauty icon to some of her fans, but even she makes mistakes at times. The 17-year-old had a bit of a makeup mishap during her appearances in Cannes.
The reality star and Instagram model went overboard with her contouring makeup on Wednesday night at the MailOnline yacht party. Jenner’s makeup mishap was picked up by the flashing lights from the paparazzi, causing her to look washed out in some of the photos.
Jenner’s facial features were overemphasized because of the contrast between her highlighter and bronzer combination on her face. The reality star’s forehead looked much darker than the area below her eyes and cheekbones. Jenner’s makeup artist may have used too much makeup during the contouring process.
Brazilian spa and laser center, Diolaser Florida, provided a tutorial on Twitter, so that fans can contour without any mistakes.

Kylie was too busy interviewing and having a good time to notice that her makeup malfunction went awry. She attended the event with her mom Kris Jenner and her rumored boyfriend Tyga. At the event, Kylie talked about how she takes “500 selfies” to get the right one.
“I only regret [posting a selfie to social media] if I find a better photo later. I’m like, ‘Damn, I should’ve posted the better photo,’ but that’s the only thing I regret.”
This isn’t the first time that Kylie Jenner suffered a makeup malfunction. Back in March 2015, the teen attended a NIP+FAB event where she made headlines for the major contouring mishap on her chest. The contouring makeup left streaks on Jenner’s chest, looking as if it was two different colors.
Makeup mishap aside, Kylie looked fabulous at the event. Some would say that she continues to look too mature for her age, but she’s no doubt a beautiful girl. Kylie wore a sheer white crop top and long skirt that revealed her white bra and matching high waisted pants. Kylie wore her raven dark hair in a low ponytail.
The starlet even wore an outfit that was similar to Kim Kardashian’s outfit in Cannes. The 34-year-old reality store wore a black sheer dress that showed off her black bra and matching underwear. It’s no surprise that the Jenner teen takes inspiration from the famous Kardashian sister.
Kylie proved that there’s no rivalry between her and her older sister. She described Kim as her “all-around favorite aunt.”
“We love doing stuff together, but we love doing stuff apart and having our own identities. But, it’s always fun when we can do stuff together.”
