Shia LaBeouf’s Head Injury Gets Him Rushed To The Hospital, Won’t Let It Stop Him

Actor Shia LaBeouf suffered a minor head injury on the set of his latest film, American Honey. After a stunt had gone wrong on Wednesday morning, he was rushed to a North Dakota hospital and stitched up.

Despite his injury, LaBeouf headed straight back to work on Thursday as previously reported by The Inquisitr. The stunt involved the actor putting his head through a glass window and in the process of doing so, he cut himself up.

Shia LaBeouf is no stranger to injury, sometimes even inflicting them on himself for the sake of realism. During the filming of the World War II Brad Pitt film, Fury, he reportedly cut his own face and even had a dentist pull out a tooth, according to ET Online. He allegedly stopped taking showers just so he could better relate to the character he was playing.

The actor was also repeatedly injured on the job while filming the first three Transformers films. With Shia LaBeouf’s head injury, it seems he takes his motto “Just do it” to extremes.

Former A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints co-star Channing Tatum has even stated that LaBeouf can be impulsive to a fault.

“Me and Shia, I think we had just met that day. We were, like, ‘What shall we go out and do?’ We were drinking. And I think our initial thing was ‘Alright, let’s go out and try and get in a fight.’ This was just young dumb idiot actors thinking that that’s going to bond us. I think Shia even punched a cop car – we weren’t even sure if the cop was in the car, he punched the window of a cop car. It was pandemonium. It was just one of those nights that the volume just keeps getting turned up, turned up, turned up.”

“I’ve never seen him since then. The kid’s an incredible actor … I just wish that he would just act. Just act, man!”

Shia LaBeouf’s recent head injury ended up earning him 20 stitches and 13 staples in his head and finger, but he shows no sign of letting it stop him. Fox News says he is already back and set to finish the film.

It is unknown if LaBeouf will be made to film the scene again with the glass window, but knowing what he’s done before, nobody doubts he’ll try again.

Even with a head injury, Shia LaBeouf showed no signs of doing anything halfway.
