Radiohead Are Ready Coachella: Are You?

Come rain, come shine, come LA high winds – Radiohead are about to take the 13th Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival into the void. Last seen performing in the U.S on a lengthy tour with 2008’s In Rainbows, expectations for tonight are understandably stratospheric.

The famous festival has steadily embraced more and more dance music with each year, and 2012 is no exception. With artists such as David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Frank Ocean, Azealia Banks, Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg bringing their block rocking beats to this stage(s) this year, as well as The Black Keys, Pulp, Mazzy Star and a riot of other artists – there’s literally something for everyone.

But for many, Radiohead will be the high point of this year’s crop. In their 27 years to date, they’ve amassed a multitude of awards and accolades (scandalously won only three Grammy’s), eight albums, sold millions of records – and more importantly – made amazing, genre-re-defining music. Yes, the boys from Oxfordshire are still going strong and still bringing their particular brand of un-brandable, sonic magic to music lovers all over the world. And now they’re in the desert. California desert, Indio – to be precise.

Not even mid-way through their tour to support their latest album – The King of Limbs – what began on February 27 has now landed in Coachella Valley. But if you can’t join the thousands of revellers currently moshing with the likes of Katy Perry, Lindsay Lohan, Josh Hutcherson, Jared Leto, Fergie and er … Paris Hilton; fear not. Although, Radiohead aren’t billed as part of the live coverage tonight, there is a TBA slot scheduled for 11:05 pm PST.

A show of hands?
