Obama Tells Trans Woman Heckler: ‘I’m Fine With A Few Hecklers — But Not When I’m Up In The House’ [Video]

President Obama was speaking about his hopefulness for the civil rights of LGBT Americans when the president got a surprise from a heckler who wouldn’t stop heckling him. It was the second video of the week to go viral featuring President Obama. Previously, President Obama dropped the N-word in a viral video during a podcast that brought attention to the Commander-in-Chief’s views on overt versus covert racism, as reported by the Inquisitr.

This time, it was a heckler named Jennicet Gutiérrez, reports The Hill, who kept on heckling President Obama. It’s difficult to hear what Jennicet’s complaints were against President Obama in the video, but her constant heckling raised the ire of the president, who tried to call for peace and quiet, and give Gutiérrez a chance to quiet down.

“Listen. You’re in my house. It’s not respectful when you get invited to somebody…you’re not going to get a good response from me by interrupting me like this. I’m sorry. No, no, no, no, no. Shame on you. You shouldn’t be doing this.”

Even though the crowd kept shushing the heckler, the heckling continued. Obama calmly tried to calm the heckler as the crowd shouted “Obama! Obama!” chants of support. Nevertheless, the heckler from the Not One More Campaign — an organization that comes against the policies of deportation — continued.

Eventually, President Obama asked for the woman to be escorted out of the room.

“Can we escort this person out? You can either stay and be quiet or we’ll have to take you out. Okay, can we have this person removed, please? Come on, guys. I’m just gonna wait.”

After the heckling quieted down, President Obama continued with his speech — but not before giving a lesson on his viewpoint on hecklers in the White House. The president received kudos from Vice President Joe Biden, who stood next to him during the speech.

“Okay, where was I? As a general rule, I’m just fine with a few hecklers — but not when I’m up in the house. My attitude is, if you’re eating the hors d’oeuvre and drinking the booze…I know that’s right.”
