Carter Reynolds’ Leaked Video Starts #WeLoveYouCarter Trend, But Did He Rape Maggie Lindemann?
Carter Reynolds’ leaked video has started a controversial new trend based upon the hashtag #WeLoveYouCarter, and the 19-year-old man’s many followers are providing support for his actions. On the other side of the issue, others say Maggie Lindemann’s rape is the real problem, while others point out the recording is a child pornography video.
In a related report by the Inquisitr, the reason that Carter Reynolds’ leaked video is so controversial is because it apparently shows him trying to coerce his girlfriend into giving him oral sex.
“This makes me so uncomfortable.
Do it.
I’m really uncomfortable.
Stop, stop. Just act like [the camera isn’t] there.
Carter, that’s a giant lie.
[laughs] Want me to shut the light off?

On Tuesday, Reynolds attempted to offer the world an apology by explaining the circumstances surrounding the leaked video.
“It was supposed to be a private video for no one to see and I had no intention on posting it at all. I [shouldn’t] of recorded anything to begin with and I should’ve just deleted it right after I took it. This video was taken a long time ago and unfortunately someone illegally hacked into my iCloud recently and ended up leaking that specific video.”
Carter admits that he should have stopped asking his girlfriend to commit the act when she said “no” the first time and he says his actions were “wrong on so many levels.” At the same time, he attacks his critics for claiming he committed the act of rape or sexual assault.
The primary issue at hand is Carter Reynolds’ age at the time of the video. The man is currently 19-years-old, but Maggie Lindemann’s age is only 16. Reynolds claims the leaked video is old, but does not define whether or not he was also a minor at the time of filming.
Based upon prior reports, Reynolds’ location is in South Carolina, and as such, the state’s rape laws would apply. Based upon the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the legal age of consent in South Carolina requires a minimum age of 16, which could potentially put Carter in the clear. However, when it comes to the legality of the age differential, the law says that it is “illegal if [the] victim is 14 to 16 and defendant is older than victim.” Based upon this information, it seems that authorities could have Carter Reynolds arrested for statutory rape, depending on whether the leaked video was filmed in the state of South Carolina.
Regardless, Carter is the Justin Bieber of six-second iPhone videos, and he has many fans who are supporting the #WeLoveYouCarter movement.
