Adam Lambert sings Born To Be Wild on American Idol (Video)

Our favorite American Idol contestant Adam Lambert continued to push the boundaries this week with a rocking rendition of the Steppenwolf classic Born To Be Wild.

It wasn’t Lambert’s best performance (the arrangement was “different”) but it achieved one thing Lambert is good at: it got the crowd pumping.

Paula did her usual flaky thing saying “you dare to dance in the path of greatness,” and said he was one of the bravest contestants ever on the show. Simon wasn’t as enthusiastic, saying it was “incredible” vocally, but it was like watching the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” in parts.
